SAMBA RODC Upgrade from 4.6 to 4.7
...DC can I remove it from the domain and then join it again. testing scripts
So in the past I''ve written a script that query''s a remote DB, takes the data, validates it, then does some processing, producing a new file with the data in a completely different format. Since this is a script with it''s own set of methods, etc, how do I go about testing the pieces parts? It seems like it should be no different than doing the rails testing I have

Hi Denis & Rowland Thanks for the suggestion to trim the smb.conf after which the DC-1 is connecting to the Windows Server 2008 shared folder smbclient -k //IUMSVRAPP01/Pastel12 -d 9 and DC-2 is also connecting after using the DNS name of the Windows server. *You'd better switch your DNS to Bind-DLZ. NT_STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVERS after removing a DC and WERR_BADFILE when trying to remove broken DC
Situation: Trying to upgrade Samba from 4.1 to 4.5 without disruption too much by adding new DCs and demoting old ones. After bringing online the first 4.5 DC, I ran `demote --remove-other-dead-server=` on that DC to remove one of the old 4.1 DCs (held no FSMO roles).
