[LLVMdev] Being able to know the jitted code-size before emitting
OK, here's a new patch that adds the infrastructure and the implementation for X86, ARM and PPC of GetInstSize and GetFunctionSize. Both functions are virtual functions defined in TargetInstrInfo.h. For X86, I moved some commodity functions from X86CodeEmitter to X86InstrInfo. What do you think? Nicolas Evan Cheng wrote: > > I think both of these belong to TargetInstrInfo. And

Temporary root access to another user.
I have Cent OS 4 installed on my computer, with cable internet. My ISP requires me to login to the account before I can access the Internet. I require to type some commands to get it working. (It comes with a software which I have installed) But that requires root access. I have many users on this computer, who can't access the Internet without my permission ( And I can't tell them the

IPTables not working?
Hello CentOS, I'm having a strange situation on one of my servers. I'm running CentOS with all the latest yum updates. It runs fine, but iptables does not seem to be 'consistently' dropping the packets from the IP's I've put a drop rule in for. When I do iptables -L I still see the rule in place: iptables -L Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source

Multiple IP Addresses in a single NIC
Hi all, I've been trying to add a second ip address to one of my network cards in my CentOS box. I've defined the alias on top of eth1 which has become eth1:1 with a different ip address. I can ping the new ip address both from my linux box as well as from my Windoze desktop, however I can only access my Apache web server setup as a virtual host from within the Linux box. If I try to

Attempting custom CentOS4 network install
Hi I am installing CentOS4 over ether network using http and kickstart. I boot from the first CentOS CD and at "boot:" prompt I input "ks=http://localserver/install/custom.cfg". Except for minor glitches like "Kernel-Development group not found" warning, the process is smooth and is almost completely automated. Now, I want to add additional RPMS to the CentOS/RPMS

Hi, I am attempting to connect my dell SC420 to a 32" LCD at 1366x768. I have attached my currect config file and currect X start log. How do I massage the xorf file to run at the native resolution of the LCD? It currently runs but is in a virtual mode. The screen scrolls. Any help is appreciated. I am using Centos 4.1. Serial ATA hardware raid.
Hi everyone, I'm looking into setting up a SATA hardware raid, probably 5 to use with CentOS 4. I chose hardware raid over software mostly because I like the fact that the raid is transparent to the OS. Does anyone know of any SATA controllers that are well tested for this sort of usage? From what I can tell from googling, this is more or less where RHEL stands: Red Hat Enterprise Linux
