I need to use Asterisk HEAD and I therefore I want to use asterisk-oh323-0.7.2-pre1. Additionally, because it is the most debugged version. In the past, if

Sweave / Latex per-chapter output
...x engine. My master tex file sets the document class, and includes the introduction, the main Sweave file, and a conclusions and reference file. I use a makefile to produce the final PDF (based on the thread "Sweave, R and complex latex projects: http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/e2/help/06/11/4891.html) What I would like to do, is to be able to get 2 types of output with the same code (I'm lazy ;-) ): 1. my large report in a single PDF file, for printing out and distributing 2. a PDF and HTML file *per chapter*, for displaying on our website and allowing people to download individual ch...

VIA C3 support for CentOS 5? (i586 kernel)
Hi all. Decided to upgrade an old Slackware 10 box I had. The box is running a VIA C3 processor and apparently doesn't support the cmov extension that most i686 processors do. As a result I cannot install CentOS 5. I discovered a few posts from way back in April: http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2007-April/079352.html

\include-mechanism in Sweave?
Dear HelpeRs, I'm very fond of Sweave and I use it as often as possible. It'a a pity I can't use it for larger projects or can I? For instance suppose I have three files file1.rnw, file2.rnw and file3.rnw with Sweave code. Working on file2.rnw I whould like to exclude file1.rnw and file3.rnw temporarily and joining all of them later. This amounts to a mechanism similar to using

Applying variable labels across a data frame
Hi All, I'm working on a class example that demonstrates one way to deal with factors and their labels. I create a function called myLabeler and apply it with lapply. It works on the whole data frame when I subscript it as in lapply( myQFvars[ ,myQFnames ], myLabeler ) but does not work if I leave the [] subscripts off. I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me why. The program below
