FETCH for mailbox INBOX UID 39641 got too little data: 4823 vs 4825
Whenever I try to access an e-mail in the middle (rather than at the end) of
the mailbox, my mail-client (KMail) gets an error a message like this is
logged in the maillog:
IMAP(mi): FETCH for mailbox INBOX UID 39641 got too little data: 4823 vs 4825
IMAP(mi): Disconnected: Disconnected
The actual numbers vary, but it is always X vs X+2
The problem started when I upgraded to 1.0.8. Unfortunately, it is still here
with 1.0.9. The mailbox in question is the standard Unix mbox (/var/mail/mi
in my case).
The server runs FreeBSD/amd64. Please,...

The 1528, 9930, and 4825 seconds is what caught my eye.
They could actually be correct as to when progress stopped vs. when it timed out, but what happened to timeout=600?

Local music on hold -- mohinterpret=passthrough assymetrical ?
...lved" (worked-around, actually) asterisk's
codec negotiation limitations regarding local G.711 utilization vs.
remote G.729 while minimizing transcoding -- a bit of dial plan
tweaking via the setting of SIP_CODEC variable seems to do
the trick. But I digress... (with patch in issue 4825 things would
be much nicer!)
Now I'm still trying to improve bandwith usage with "local music
on hold"; that is, when sip user A1, registered to server A puts
sip caller B1, registered to server B, caller B1 gets server B's
music on hold -- this removes the need of stre...

dovecot/config processes one more time - which are safe to kill?
Hello.
The problem with dovecot/config processes never ending and spawning new
one on each reload
(https://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2016-November/106058.html) is
becoming a problem here:
# ps aux|grep dovecot/config|wc -l
206
That's a lot of wasted memory - dovecot/config processes ate over 30GB
of ram on 64GB box.
Before killing dovecot/config processes:
# free -m

patch which makes Asterisk-Addons 1.4.5 work when codec negotiation patch applied to asterisk
Hi,
Since the original codec negotiation patch (
http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=4825 report) just closed yesterday,
and as well as my report (http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=11998), I had
nothing to do but send my patches to the list.
It might be good if my patches are placed at
http://www.b2bua.org/wiki/AsteriskCodecNegotiationPatch, but
don't know whom should I contact.

Codec Selection in asterisk
I have around 20-30 softphones behind NAT .. My sip.conf has nat=yes and
they all are able to register and make calls with no problem . My voip
carrier supports gsm as well as ilbc .. Server takes calls from sip phones ,
does call recording in between and forwards to voip carrier . My problem is
that half of my softphones use ilbc and rest use gsm and my provider
supports both gsm as well as

CODECS: Best practice question: Avoid transcode when calling out?
What is the current best practice to avoid transcoding on an outgoing call
to a
party whose codec preference is not known in advance?
In other words, incoming calls are easy since codecs are negotiated from
least-known (the remote party) to most-known (my endpoint) and my codecs can
simply be preferred accordingly to match the remote.
Outbound calls seem harder. Our endpoints always negotiate

MEMDISK reset computer with NW Client32
Hi!
I have problem with MEMDISK, because when I load modules in NW Client32
using NIOS.EXE commands, computer is restarted :-( Not everytime, but
manytimes.
The problem is with MSDOS 5.0, 6.22 and FreeDOS too.
But when I create in DOS another RAMDISK and copy all data from MEMDISK
to new RAMDISK and change settings and PATH to new ramdisk, all work fine.
Directly from floppy or from

clustering problem
Hi,
I have a gene expression experiment with 20 samples and 25000 genes each.
I'd like to perform clustering on these. It turned out to become much faster
when I transform the underlying matrix with t(matrix). Unfortunately then
I'm not anymore able to use cutree to access individual clusters. In general
I do something like this:
hc <- hclust(dist(USArrests), "ave")
