gray level values
Hello.
I have a matrix whit n1 rows and n2 columns called example.
If I do
image(example), R shows me an image with 480x480 pixels.
How can I obtain the gray level of the pixel of row i and column j?

Version 0.4.3 of odfWeave
...ng of locales. Errors were being produced when locales were set
to anything but "C". The fix changes the locale to "C" and changes back
to the original locale when the user's code is executed.
- a bug fix for default plot device units (to prevent bitmap graphics
from being 480x480 inches on non-Windows systems).
- a check was inserted at the beginning of the odfWeave function to
test for zipping/unzipping utilities. This is only done if the default
value for zipCmd in odfWeaveControl was not used. A more meaningful
error message is produced.

I just want to ask how to enlarge the resolution of my plots in R. For ex. for publising I would like a picture of resolution minimal 500 dpi, all I managed was picture of dim 5,28 X 5,83 with 118 pixels/cm.

Using Theora Micro-HOWTO
...l encoding note: The encoder takes the size and frame rate of the
output video directly from the yuv4mpeg stream, and does not yet handle
'aspect ratio' (either that, or the player_example doesn't), so if you
want to, for example, create an ogg-theora file from an NTSC SVCD mpeg file
(480x480) that displays the "correct" size (640x480), you will need to
explicitly scale it. Fortunately, mplayer handles this just fine:
mplayer -ao null -nosound -vo yuv4mpeg -vop scale=640:480 SVCD_File.mpg
Some 'data points':
-a 1, for 44.1khz stereo .wav file, equates to ~64-72kbps...

Video and audio not in sync
I had some shows on tivo that I figured I wanted to keep on a CD in case
I might ever want to watch them again. (Not that you care, butthis
really is for my own personal use. I wouldn't have the bandwidth to
"share" this stuff even if I wanted to.)
So I downloaded a 1 hour show with TiVo ToGo, and I jumped through a few
hoops to "free the mpeg", and I got a nice 2 GB
