Warnings by functions mean(), median()
Hello,
following functions doesnt work correct with my data: median(), geo.mean().
My datafiles contain more than 10.000 lines and six columns from a
flow-cytometer-measurment. I need the arithmetic and geometric mean and
median. For the calculation of the geometric mean i wrote following

Unable to log out normally
I've posted this question to the Gnome users list, but so far no luck,
so I thought I'd mention this here.
A little while ago, I noticed that I was no longer able to log out
from my GDM. I'm running the default GDM (2.16) that comes with
CentOS, and this problem started up right about the same time that I
updated to the 53.1.4 kernel (from the 8.1.15 version).

Urgent: Major bug in latest X.Org Update for CentOs 5

Hi, after applying the latest X.Org updates, applications have stopped
running with an error message:
"The program 'multiget' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.

High CPU Time an Load Avarage on our Samba Server
Hello list,
how could this happen?
The Server doesn't respond from time to time with a high load avarage.
We found a suspicious smbd process:
top - 13:43:07 up 1 day, 2:27, 5 users, load average: 32.49, 58.41, 37.95

Problem installing the 53.1.6 kernel
On top of my previously (just now) difficulties with yum, now I find that
the 53.1.6 kernel is not installing properly.
When I run "yum update" to install it, the install hangs here:
