ripped wav was corrupted or not since it has been

Any explanations as to why the data looks this way?

Hi everyone,
I ve been using R for months and find it really
practical and straight forward.
However (the inevitable however), I am finding it very
slow for one of my operations:
it s basically an itertation over i and j in a pretty
big table (4* 4608). It takes 30 minutes!!!!
Thanks
Ps:if it can help here is the source:

block size
Hi,
we are implementing FLAC decode on an embedded device.
FLAC, as you know, can have block sizes up to ~65K.
For an embedded implementation, memory is limited: what would be the maximum block size we should support?
We have seen the encoder encodes either 1152 or 4608 in its default setup. Should we support other block sizes?
Also another unrelated question:
given most existing files don't have a seek table in their metadata, what would be the right and easy to way to compute the byte offset corresponding to time T in the file?
Obviously, we are looking fo...

Getting subframe type=verbatim on 16 bit files
I'm using libFLACC++ and libFLAC and I think that I'm using the calls in the
typical order (see code below). But every monoe or stereo file that I send
thru I get files that are the same sze as the orginal wave files.
Doing a flac -a on the flac files I see that I get:
frame=9 blocksize=4608 sample_rate=8000 channels=1
channel_assignment=INDEPENDENT
subframe=0 wasted_bits=0 type=VERBATIM
.......
Any idea why/ where I have goofed?
Thanks,
James

are 588 sample frames subset or nonsubset?
...t may be
beneficial to rip CDs with a blocksize of 588 samples.
According to the format page on sourcefourge a stream is subset if
"The blocksize bits in the frame header must be 0001-1110.
The blocksize must be <=16384;
if the sample rate is <= 48000Hz, the blocksize must be <=4608.
As far as I can tell, this means that a blocksize of 588 should be subset,
although the blocksize would be a 16 bit value at the end of the frame
header.
However when I try encoding with flac 1.2.1 it says that only the blocksizes
that can be represented in the 4 bits in the early part of the fr...
