can't create large LVM, even though pvscan shows enough space left
...free]

[root at francois-pc ~]# lvcreate -L 500gig -n 500G freenas
Insufficient free extents (127999) in volume group freenas: 128000 required
Even dropping the size a bit, I get this:
[root at francois-pc ~]# lvcreate -L 500gig -n 450G freenas
Insufficient free extents (127999) in volume group freenas: 128000 required
How do I actually create a 500GB volume?

LVM over Xen + Network
Hi,
We are planning to have LVM being used over a network of 3 h/w machines(500
GB Disk each)
Each hardware machine will have 2-3 domUs.
Can we store these domUs as a Logical Volumes stored across Network of these
3 machines?
Can one DomU exceed the 500 GB (physical drive size) and store say 1 TB of
data across the networked Physical Volumes?
Has anyone done this before?
Thanks and regards,

7110 questions
...i''m looking at buying a pair of 7110''s in the EDU grant sale.
The price is sure right. I''d use them in a mirrored, cold-failover
config.
I''d primarily be using them to serve a vmware cluster; the current config
is two standalone ESX servers with local storage, 450G of SAS RAID10 each.
the 7110 price point is great, and i think i have a reasonable
understanding of how this stuff ought to work.
I''m curious about a couple things that would be "unsupported."
Specifically, whether they are "not supported" if they have specifically
