I brought up v6.6 to give an example that older clients wouldn't be impacted by the removal of the fallback mechanism. > You should also take a closer look at RFC 4419. [PATCH v2] rescue: add --autosysroot option RHBZ#1183493

[PATCH v3 0/2] hivex: handle corrupted hives better
The following patches address issues when dealing with hives that have corrupted data in them but are otherwise readable/writable. Those were found on some rather rare Windows installations that seem to work fine but current hivex fails to even open. Those patches change hivex to simply log and ignore such "corrupted" regions instead of aborting because the caller might be looking at

[PATCH hmm 0/5] Adjust hmm_range_fault() API
From: Jason Gunthorpe <jgg at mellanox.com> The API is a bit complicated for the uses we actually have, and disucssions for simplifying have come up a number of times. This small series removes the customizable pfn format and simplifies the return code of hmm_range_fault() All the drivers are adjusted to process in the simplified format. I would appreciated tested-by's for the two

[nbdkit PATCH 0/9] can_FOO caching, more filter validation
It's easy to use the sh script to demonstrate that nbdkit is inefficiently calling into .get_size, .can_fua, and friends more than necessary. We've also commented on the list in the past that it would be nice to ensure that when filters call into next_ops, they are not violating constraints (as we've have to fix several bugs in the past where we did not have such checking to protect
