Anyone else seeing disk full errors?
I'm seeing random disk full errors when saving large Excel files to a Samba
share. The users will retry and the second or third time (usually the
second time) it will save correctly. This is with version 3.0.21a on i386
Red Hat 9, kernel 2.4.20-31 patched with ACL.

problem about network in Xen!
HI,
I have been stuck by this problem for the whole week.
We just did a simple experiment to test the network performance in xen use the benchmark--iperf. Our NIC is Gigabit, and we got exactly correct data in hostOS--fedoral core 8 without xen running, the bandwidth of the network was 931Mbps. But the problem is, when we start guest OS--fedoral core 8, and running iperf on it, we got data only

feature request, hardlink progress......
I'm copying a partition that has a bunch of hardlink
based snapshots (-aPH). I think there's about
250,000 files in each backup and between 100 and 200
snapshots.
Earlier today, I saw the files had completed and it
was making all the hardlinks. I thought it would be
"not long" but it's been making hardlinks for 12
hours (at least).
There's only 36Gb in snapshot, the

Latest Flac license thinking?
A while back Josh was thinking of changing the Flac license, and posted a
question on Slashdot regarding various licensing schemes.
Josh, have you come to any conclusions about future licensing of Flac?

GlusterFS failover with UCarp
Hi,
we've successfully configured GlusterFS mirroring across two identical
nodes [1].
We're running the file share under a Virtual IP address using UCarp.
We have different clients connected using NFS, CIFS and GlusterFS.
When we simulate a node failure, by unplugging it, it takes about 5
seconds for the CIFS and GlusterFS clients to refresh the connection and
continue operation. The

If this is what you want, perhaps you can ask Brian Gaeke

clustering
Hi,
I just get a question (sorry if it is a dumb one) and I "phase" my
question in the following R codes:
group1<-rnorm(n=50, mean=0, sd=1)
group2<-rnorm(n=20, mean=1, sd=1.5)
group3<-c(group1,group2)
Now, if I am given a dataset from group3, what method (discriminant
analysis, clustering, maybe) is the best to cluster them by using R.
The known info includes: 2 clusters,
