Bad smbclient put performance and smbfs write performance
...I'm using Samba
2.0.3, the Linux machines are running kernel 2.2.7, glibc-2.1, egcs-1.1.2.
I've two Win95 machines, both perform equally poorly.
I also have very bad smbfs write performance. When doing a simple cp of a file
to the smbfs mounted directory results in performance of about 40KBytes/s.
Reads from the file system are OK, but interactivity (like doing a 'ls' on the
mounted directory) is extremely poor while doing either reads or writes. In
this case, it doesn't matter what the OS of the server I'm mounting from is.

Kernel crash on 2.4.16
All,

We have a test which creates a EXT3 partition, coppeis /usr/bin to

little experience with shaping I just can''t wrap my head around it. I am
not seeking a complete script, I just need an idea/a set of pointers on
how to best subdivide traffic accordingly to my needs, and which shapers
to place on every leaf. I am very experienced with netfilter and have
minor experience with

outbound IAX calls bog down DSL
Evening,
I've got * asterisk up and running with nufone account for inbound and
outbound calls from the world... everything works quite nicely except that I
noticed last night that when I have a call active from * to nufone, web
surfing on the network slows to a crawl... additionally, I have a VPN tunnel
to another office (using CIPE) and while inter-office (i.e. - SIP to SIP)
calls
