Hi, we expect a growth in bigger file transfers (files n*10 GB up to multiple 100GB) on a regular base from a smaller number of users combined with the "normal" office use with word files, mail profiles etc from about 500 users. We plan a new Fileserver/Storage Head with 40Gb NICs client and storage side. What would be regarding to samba be of more importance: multiple Cores or more MHz per core? Any suggestions? Feedback? My conclusion is that we could do one of two things: Either: (1) Easiest solution is simply not mount anything under /var/tmp, and let it be local storage. Hi, I have encountered an issue on an Oracle RAC cluster using ocfs2, OS is RH Linux 5.3. One of the ocfs2 filesystems appears to be 97% full, yet when I look at the files in there they only equal about 13gig (filesystems is 40gig in size).
