Error renaming folders with spaces
.../Subfolder) failed: Invalid argument
The user home directories are
on NFSv3 and are the user attributes are stored in ldap. My config is
below.
Any ideas what is causing these errors?

Dovecot mailstore performance tuning

My dovecot config is below.? I am not seeing any obvious issues in
the server logs.??? Any suggestions on how to improve performance
would be appreciated.

To test the I/O I''m using the tool iozone. I''ve ran "iozone -i 0 -i 1
-o -s 40m" in Dom0 and the results are:

Besides the lost performance, the results seem acceptable.

HP-UX 11.00 truncating remote commands
...replace trusted hosts on these machines with something
a little more secure. running some remote commands between the hp boxes,
i'm getting different results with ssh than with remsh.
root at hp1# remsh hp2 cat /etc/passwd | wc
649 2750 44210
root at hp1# ssh hp2 cat /etc/passwd | wc
607 2636 40960
root at hp1#
that output should be the same. its basically chopping off 42 lines for
some odd reason. i looked at the output, and though it does chop it off at
the same place everytime, its not a strange character, just a /. has anyone
seen this before?? when i run a similar command against th...

This is not a samba problem but a configuration problem,
or a corruption in you ip stack, (netsh int ip reset) can help also.

Log Error Message

I have a nightly cron job that runs rsync. Every time the client
connects I get this message in the server logs:
May 31 19:30:49 boud rsyncd[81707]: /etc/pwd.db: No such file or directory
The file is definitely there, and readable.
boud# ls -l /etc/pwd.db
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 40960 May 22 08:08 /etc/pwd.db
It's not that big a deal, because the rsync proceeds with no problems,
I'm just wondering if this is something to be worried about?

printing dead
...the log, I have found
the following:
(FYI: I am running lprng for the printing)

Then I renamed those problem .tdb files and restart samba daemon, they back
to work. BUT.......but they died again when I came back to office this
morning.
I have double checked that I can print directly through the Redhat desktop
but no luck through the samba. Also, I've checked the smb....
