File change on files > 4095 Bytes
I'm using Samba 3.4.7 on Ubuntu 10.04 server.
When i'm saving a file>4095 Bytes on one of my samba shares the editor pops up again and says the file has changed and asks my if to load it again.
When the file is less than 4096 Bytes everything is ok.
I didn't have this effect on the ubuntu 8.04 server i've used previously with the same smb.conf.
Any ideas?

...R 2.9.0 and received the 'error'
below. The memory appears to update correctly, so there's probably no
implication beyond cosmetic; however, thought I would make sure since the
function as written did not generate the same error in my 2.8.0 version of
R.

Memory in R on windows running 64bit XP
Hi
I'm running 32-bit R on Windows XP 64bit and the machine has 16Gb of RAM. The help for memory.limit states:
If 32-bit R is run on some 64-bit versions of Windows the maximum value of obtainable memory is just under 4GB.
So, using the help which states the size parameter can go up to 4095:
memory.limit(size=4095)
When I run mclust I get:
Error: cannot allocate vector of size 1.3 Gb
So, now I set the max-mem-size flag:
--max-mem-size=3500M
Repeat and I still get the same error:
Error: cannot allocate vector of size 1.3 Gb
So, can anyone help? 32 bit R is reported to be able...

I think this addresses everything in Eric's v2 review.
