Backuo problem from ext3 file system
I have backup problem of redhat 7.2 with ext3 file system. I'm using dump for backup.
The problem is one of the filesystem (/proj) Incremantal backup is not happening.
The command used is
dump -u1a -f /dev/st0 /dev/md0
Daily its taking the entire file system backup eventhough i tried incremental.
This is happening only for /proj and proj1 is working fine.

For building my local repo, how large is 5.4 update?
I have run a local repo for Centos updates for some time.
I suppose, at this point I could just delete the 5.3 update directory
and rsync the 5.4 directory...
But how large is the 5.4 update directory?
Oh, just for i386, without /debug and is there anything else I should
not include? For example for my FC11 update repo I also exclude drpms.

split brain? but where?
Hi,
Which version of gluster you are using?
You can find which file is that using the following command
find <brickpath> -samefile <brickpath/.glusterfs/<first two bits of
gfid>/<next 2 bits of gfid>/<full gfid>
Please provide the getfatr output of the file which is in split brain.
The steps to recover from split-brain can be found here,

rsyncing directories - sanity check
hey guys,
I need to mount a different volume onto /var so we have more room to
breathe. I'll be turning 3 servers into an elasticsearch cluster. And for
some reason when the servers were ordered the large local volume ended up
being /usr when the ES rpm likes to store it's indexes on /var.
So I'm syncing the contents of both directories to a different place, and
I'm going swap

Name resolution not working inside virt-customize
Hi!
I am trying to use virt-customize to add packages to an image. However
it seems that there is a problem where a resolv.conf is not being
installed and thus package installation fails.
The command is:
virt-customize -v -x -a trusty-server-cloudimg-amd64-disk1.img
--run-command "host openstack.org"
I am having a hard time gathering complete output as the command seems

How do I resize a Physical Partition in a Dom U that''s "on" a Logical Volume in the Dom 0?
Hey all,
I''m trying to figure out how to re-size physical partitions in the Dom U.
I''ve read up what I can find on line and finally decided to have
Logical Volumes in the Dom 0 and pass them as physical volumes for use
in the Dom U.
Here''s an example of what I''m doing.
To start in the Dom 0 I created the LV''s with
lvcreate -n guest_boot -L 100M
