1-800 number
Hi!
I'm searching for a 1-800 number that simply plays music for a long time
(>3mins) and no one picks up. I've bothered the AT&T lines so far when trying
out my SIP->PSTN connection but then always someone answered :-)
Anyone have a number?

XP irratic delay in opening files....
Hi all
I am fairly new to samba and XP. I have a client who we set up a samba
server for, they are complaining about documents taking about 30 secs
-2-3mins to open but only sometimes (it can be very frequent). I have
seen this and captured a piece of the log file I wonder if any one can
make any sense of it...
I have been looking on the net and trying various things all day but to
no avail...

Random Audio Drop out one side
...seconds, we can hear them, they can't hear us.
It doesn't happen every call, random, which is making it very hard to
trouble shoot, I am guessing it has something to do with RTP stream?
Nothing has changed this end, yet this has just started happening.
Seems to happen at about 2-3mins into a call.
Anyone had this happen to them, any advice on a fix?

Win95 to Linux/Samba Timings
...Server and one
a Linux (Redhat 5.0, Kernel 2.0.32) with Samba (1.9.17p4) I get the
following results when copying a directory tree up/down, the tree
consists of 183 files in 38 directories totalling 8.5Mb.
Win95 -> NT 33secs NT -> Win95 2mins
Win95 ->Linux/Samba 3mins Linux/Samba -> Win95 5 mins
I have read speed.txt and speed2.txt and cannot find any significant
improvement with the suggestions. Ideally we want to get the Samba share
as near the speed of the NT.
Thanks for any help/advice

upgraded from Samba 2.2.8a to Samba 3.0.0 now mount smbf does not work? update
I have upgraded from a almost perfectly working Samba 2.2.8a to Samba 3.0.0, I wished to
join my NAS servers to the
domain and it seemed something to do with DNS authentication was stopping them from joining,
so I upgraded to Samba 3
(not beta)
I have searched the web for reasons for this stange behavior but could find no explaination
or fix, there are however
other people having the same

ext3 filesystem corruption
Hi -
We have had 3 rather major occurances of ext3 filesystem corruption
lately,
i.e. so bad we couldn't event mount, and fsck didn't help.
I am looking for pointers, that could help us investigate the root
cause.
In general...
We are running RedHat WS 3 Update 6, 2.4.21-40.2.ELsmp or
2.4.21-37.ELsmp
We have a small SAN system that looks like this
