[Sanitizers] Platforms that don't support stack unwinding
Hi, In sanitizer code we have two notions of stack unwinders: fast and slow. [1] In the context of sanitizers, stack unwinding is most often for printing error reports that include a stack trace. I am currently trying to fix an issue that is related to some platforms (Darwin) only supporting the fast unwinder, but calling code not being aware of that possibility. My mental model was that

[LLVMdev] a question about pooalloc
Hello, today I download poolalloc from " https://github.com/llvm-mirror/poolalloc". and I compiled it with LLVM3.3. Then when I excute "make",I get the error: AddressTakenAnalysis.cpp:18:30:fatal error:llvm/IR/CallSite.h: No such file or directory. I correct the path of callsite.h to "llvm/Support/Callsite.h". there is another error: AddressTakenAnalysis.cpp:In

Rtools and R 4.0.0?
Hevr? told me that people from Bioconductor and possibly others are keeping an eye on this thread so it would be good to post a note here too. As of version 4.0.0, the official R for Windows and binary packages provided via CRAN are built with gcc-8.3.0 from rtools40, as shown in the CRAN check table: https://cran.r-project.org/web/checks/check_flavors.html Instructions and installers for

AMDGPU and math functions
There certainly is support; after all AMD supports both OpenCL and HIP (a dialect of C++ very close to cuda). AMD device libraries (in bitcode form) are installed when ROCm ( https://rocm.github.io/ ) is installed. AMD device libraries are mostly written in (OpenCL) C and open source at https://github.com/RadeonOpenCompute/ROCm-Device-Libs . They are configured by linking in a number tiny

R CMD check does not report redundant '...' argument described in Rd File
R's checks seem to be failing to notice a redundant '...' argument described in the documentation of a function. Consider a function: fun_3 <- function(arg1, arg2, arg3) { "I am fun_3" } If its documentation describes an argument, say 'dummy', R check reports something like: * checking Rd \usage sections ... [LLVMdev] Windows interface for clang
I've finally developed what I think is a general solution to the problem of building existing Windows programs with clang: https://github.com/russellw/wic Using this, I've managed to run attempted builds of Python, Ruby and Perl. Python 2.7 works - it generates a python.exe that at least passes a preliminary smoke test. Perl generates an executable that crashes partway through the
