R demos
Hi All, I am currently preparing some form of slideshow introducing R and its capabilities for some colleagues. The thing will be about 30 mins, and I'd like to have some "pretty pictures" and some "amazing facts" (I'm trying to sell, obviously :)). Can I ask if it's possible to easily retrieve a gross figure of the number of functions in R considering the "base" install and all the libraries available? Apa...

v2v: vddk: Switch to using ‘-it vddk’ to specify VDDK as input transport.
Proposed small change to the command line of virt-v2v when specifying that you want VDDK mode. Rich.

[PATCH v2 1/2] v2v: vddk: Switch to using ‘-it vddk’ to specify VDDK as input transport.
Previously the presence of the ‘--vddk <libdir>’ option magically enabled VDDK mode. However we want to introduce other transports for VMware conversions so this wasn't a very clean choice. With this commit you must use ‘-it vddk’ to specify that you want VDDK as a disk transport. The previous ‘--vddk <libdir>’ option has been renamed to ‘--vddk-libdir <libdir>’ to be consistent with the other passthrough options, and it is no longer required. A n...

[PATCH v2 0/2] v2v: Add -it vddk and -it ssh flags.
The first patch was previously posted here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2017-December/msg00018.html That patch hasn't changed except that I made the ‘input_transport’ variable type-safe. The second patch adds a significant new mode for liberating data from VMware: the ability to copy VMs over SSH directly from ESXi hypervisors. Although this requires enabling SSH access (a check-box in the vSphere UI), it is f...

[PATCH v4 06/10] drm/gem: Use struct dma_buf_map in GEM vmap ops and convert GEM backends
This patch replaces the vmap/vunmap's use of raw pointers in GEM object functions with instances of struct dma_buf_map. GEM backends are converted as well. For most of them, this simply changes the returned type. TTM-based drivers now return information about the location of the memory, either system or I/O memory. GEM VRAM helpers...

[PATCH v6 00/10] Support GEM object mappings from I/O memory
DRM's fbdev console uses regular load and store operations to update framebuffer memory. The bochs driver on sparc64 requires the use of I/O-specific load and store operations. We have a workaround, but need a long-term solution to the problem. This patchset changes GEM's vmap/vunmap interfaces to...

implementation of IEEE 802.1Qbg in lldpad
Hi, This set of patches contains the initial implementation of the IEEE 802.1Qbg standard: code for the exchange of EVB TLVs in LLDP frames to negotiate VSI capabalities as well as VDP VSI TLVs between a host with virtual machines and an adjacent switch. It supports setting the parameters of the TLV exchange from the command line using lldptool. VDP profiles consisting of

[PATCH 0/62] Ocfs2 updates for 2.6.26-rc1
The following series of patches comprises the bulk of our outstanding changes for Ocfs2. Aside from the usual set of cleanups and fixes that were inappropriate for 2.6.25, there are a few highlights: The '/sys/o2cb' directory has been moved to '/sys/fs/o2cb'. The new location meshes better with modern sysfs layout. A symbolic link has been placed in the old location so as to not break old versions of ocfs2-tools. New versions of ocfs2-tools know to look in /sys/fs/o2cb. When an appropria...

[PATCH v2 00/14] tests: Introduce test harness for running tests.
...h some sort of shell script like perl/run-perl-tests which either runs each test itself or uses some language-specific machinary to run each test. The problem with that is the test harness should be running individual tests, otherwise we cannot parallelize them, nor run fast-only tests. That won't work however until the test harness knows how to run language tests, which it doesn't at the moment (except for OCaml). In any case, this is now ready for review, and maybe inclusion upstream. Rich.
