USB support in wine for TDK CD/DVD Print Labeller
...t ? The reason I ask is that I'm trying to get the application TDK CD/DVD Printer Labeller Software running, the software appears to work except for the fact it complains that "The printer is turned off or not connected to the computer". http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iAppId=3751 Is there some other layer of software that needs to be installed for USB to work ? I'm running Suse 9.3 and even without wine KDE doesn't appear to ackowledge that I've plugged a USB device in. I guess I'm expecting a little icon to pop up in the right hand corner telling me...

bin/121684: : dump(8) frequently hangs
Any progress here? Does anyone know if this will be fixed in 7.1 latest, or should we start looking for different backup solution (in this case I would suggest to remove dump from the source tree - having a backup tool that doesn't work is worse than having none). After upgrading we basically cannot backup our servers. Shouldn't this issue be on

Speeding up 'getent passwd' with winbindd on AD
I am working on a Linux-AD integration using winbindd in security=ads mode with idmap=ad. Everything is basically working, but the performance of user (and group) enumeration has been very poor and I am almost at the stage where I ask my users if they can live without it, though I would prefer not to. In my test environment, I have about 8500 users in AD, of which currently only about 10 have

repeatable crash on RELENG7
While trying to speed up nanobsd builds, I mounted /usr/obj on a ramdisk and found my box crashing. Thinking it might be hardware, I tried a separate machine, but with the same results. I have 4G of ram (i386). Am I just running out of some kernel memory ? If so, is there anything I can adjust to prevent this, yet still use mfs in this way ? mdconfig -a -t malloc -s 1800M newfs /dev/md0
