Help on a simple function.
...ave two others functions inside.
It is simple, but the problem is that functions inside use the same variable,
but with different values. I try something like this:
Teste <- function(Pdig(nlinhas),Ldig(nlinhas)) {
Pdig <- function(nlinhas) {
Tdig <- (15.50 + 7.45*nlinhas);
(3*(Tdig*(30/3600))+1*(30*(30/3600)));
}
Ldig <- function(nlinhas) {
Tdig <- (30.50 + 7.45*nlinhas);
(2*(Tdig*(30/3600))+1*(30*(30/3600)));
}
print(Pdig)
print(Ldig)
print(Pdig+Ldig)
}
It dont work.
How to make this?
Thanks

Changing sign on absolute numbers 0 problems
Hi,
I am trying to do some calculations turning DMS data to decimal degrees using
the formula (D+(M/60)+(S/3600)), some of the D's involve -ve numbers, the
easiest way to do the calculation is to use absolute numbers then use the 'sign'
function in R to change the answer back to the correct -ve or +ve,
for example, if;
D<--69
M<-8
S<-10
then
decimal<-D+(M/60)+(S/3600)
-69+(8/60)+(1...

When I applied the ccf method, ccf(data$V1, data$V2), I noticed the
lag is every 3600 which is a little surprising to me. I was thinking
the lag should be 1, but it seems the lag unit becomes 3600. I guess
the number 3600 representing 3600 "seconds" because of the zoo object.
I am not sure if I'm right and would like someone here could certify
this (or not). Besides, d...

Help with creating date as POSIXct
Dear list,
I want to create a POSIX time vector as follows:
day <- as.character("110809")
time.t <- 1:3600
t.min <- time.t %/% 60
t.sec <- time.t-t.min*60
DATE <- as.POSIXct(strptime(paste(day,t.min,t.sec),"%y%m%d %M%S"))
Tail(DATE)
The problem is that the last element (3600) returns a NA and I don't
understand why. 600, 1200, 2400 no problem, only 3600. Any helpful...
