a fast way to do my job
Dear R users,
I am running the following code below, the gem751be.rpkm is a dataframe with dim of 751 samples by 35164 variables, 73 phenotypic variables in the furst to 73rd column and 35091 genomic variables or genes in the 74th to 35164th columns. What I need to do is to calculate the residuals for each gene using the simple linear regression model of genelist[i] ~ purity2;

CentOS4 Loop at shutdown
Has anyone else encountered a loop and failure to shutdown on CentOS4?
This has occurred twice in the past month, but unfortunately I failed
to write down the looping messages. The only relevant problems I found
via Google reference raid controllers, and I have POI (plain ol' IDE).
Doh! Obviously I wuill need to record the errors.
My environment is run-level 5 with GDM, but I use IceWm

3.6.10 file handle leak under ancient 32-bit kernel
Hello,
I've come across a curious issue with
Samba 3.6.10.
When running 'emacs' version
GNU Emacs 23.3.1 (i386-mingw-nt6.0.6002) of 2011-03-10 on 3249CTO
on Windows Server 2008 SP2 x64 and issuing
a file "revert" of one sort or another
against a Samba-served file, the 'smbd'
process leaks two or three handles.
Eventually, when 16k handles are open,
this causes
