an unwanted chroot() call
...roblem is that, when I use the --daemon option, I get an error saying that a chroot() call failed. My config file does *not* have any chroot call in it. How can I avoid a chroot() invocation when running as a normal non-root user? Initial DTMFs arriving too quickly?
Hi I've got an Asterisk box connected to a Siemens Hicom 300 using a Digium TDM400. The Hicom provides the calling extension as DTMF at the beginning of the call followed by two *, as in 3425** when 3425 calls my extension, I can hear all 6 tones if I have a handset connected but using Asterisk's Read application straight after Answer() Asterisk usually only gets the last *, sometimes the last 2 **. On one occasion it recieved the last 4 tones (25**) but that happened once only and...

rcov including ruby lib
When I run spec:rcov on my continuous integration server, the rcov report is including many other libraries in the report, including some from standard lib and gems. Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas for how to limit it just to coverage of code in app/ and lib/? potsfix keeping mail in queue on delivery error
Hello, Our mail server is running CentOS 5.3. I configured postfix with maildrop as the MDA. I had to deal with a strange issue : a user sent an email to an alias, which resolves into several internal addresses. One of these addresses had its mbox filled up (reached the mailbox_size_limit); so maildrop reported a 0x19 error code to postfix, who kept the mail in its queue, and repeatedly resent

Indexing Mail faster
Hi, I am trying to get faster search results on our webmail client(Roundcube). Besides using Lucene for FTS are there other options? Would having all mails indexed give fast results? Currently the time it takes to search 25,000mails is 4mins. If indexed how much faster are we looking at? Really appreciate if someone could advise about this. Thanks Kevin

Anyone know how to let asterisk deal with the progress codes coming from the carrier? The problem I am having is when a customer calls an invalid number the carrier tells me the call is invalid via a progress code but doesn't route me to a recording (this number is invalid). Instead they hang up on me causing a fast busy or sometimes hold up the call with dead air for 15 to 30 seconds then a
