Eaton_SDK dangling branch solved
I've solved the problem of the detached Eaton_SDK branch.
What must have happened here is the branch creator did a
non-Subversion cp -r followed by an add of the target directory.
This registered a tree that duplicated trunk, *without* ancestry
information connecting it to its source revision.
The correct fix is to check each new text section against a list of
MD5 hashes of old text

Newbie wants to compare 2 huge RDSs row by row.
Cool, looks like that'd do it, almost as if converting an entire record to a character string and comparing strings.

Spec custom finders
I have some finders in my models where I write some of the sql myself. I
of course want to test these, but am not sure the best way. Should I just
let them roll through to the db, and verify they return the correct
objects based on the fixtures I load, or should I spec the actual query? I
know that DB access is sort of frowned upon, but is this a situation where
it is more or less acceptable? My

Playing Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition
Hi all,
I have a simple question (I think). I unearthed a copy of Warcraft II: Battle.net edition, and got a surge of nostalgia so I installed it.
I have an Intel iMac running Snow Leopard. I was able to install the hybrid disc using Wine Bottler. (I mounted the Windows side of the disc via Terminal.) Now, when I hit "Play Warcraft II" it says that it can't find a file in the disc,

Newbie wants to compare 2 huge RDSs row by row.
If your two objects have class "data.frame" (look at class(objectName)) and
they
both have the same number of columns and the same order of columns and the
column types match closely enough (use all.equal(x1, x2) for that), then
you can try
which( rowSums( x1 != x2 ) > 0)
E.g.,
> x1 <- data.frame(X=1:5, Y=rep(c("A","B"),c(3,2)))
> x2 <-
