Problem with R 2.9.0 vs. R2.8.1 with either "survival" package or "predict" function
Just wanted to alert everyone regarding a problem that I only experience with R2.9.0 and not with R2.8.1 when I run both using exactly the same script and the same data. Here is what I do with my data "MyData", 2 predictors (V1 and V2) and my survival DV "Depvar": library(survival)

2.6.0 bcmxcp_usb recovery question
Greetings, The way that bcmxcp_usb reacts to and recovers from a USB cable unplug-plug appears to have changed significantly between 2.4.1 and 2.6.0. While I can see some improvements, bcmxcp_usb 2.6.0 does not appear to handle a USB cable unplug-plug correctly. Does anyone know if this has been fixed in subsequent releases? Here are the details. When the USB cable between my server and my

Speex memory usage?
Hello Mailing List, I am a Speex supporter and user that would really like to know how much memory Speex uses to decode a 8kHz, 16kHz and 32kHz (primarily the 8kHz) and is it possible to use a 1kBytes of RAM to decode a 8kHz stream? (I was thinking of the possibility of using a ATmega168 to decode Speex) //P?r, Sweden

[PATCH] stream_encoder.c: choose proper *fixed_compute_best_predictor* function
I found that 32-bit total_error_* variables in fixed_compute_best_predictor() functions can overflow. For example it happens with the attached test.wav and the following options: "-l 0 -b 4200 -m -r 5". The attached patch should fix it. (Now all three use_wide_by_* variables are unused, so I commented them out with #ifdef 0). -------------- next part -------------- A non-text

Problems freezing rails 1.0
Hi I''m trying to freeze one of my current applications to 1.0 when I start developing a new one in 1.1.2. I''ve tried to do it this two different ways (from app root folder) 1. rake freeze_edge REVISION=3303 2. svn export http://dev.rubyonrails.org/svn/rails/tags/rel_1-0-0 vendor/rails In both cases I get similar errors: svn: PROPFIND request failed on ''/svn/rails/tags/rel_1-0-0'' svn: PROPFIND of ''/svn/rails/tags/rel_1-0-0'': 400 Bad request: request method not supp...

Alternate File "require" line in TextMate bundle
Ok, this is INCREDIBLY finicky of me, and I''m a really finicky person at the best of times, but I noticed that when you use the TM Alternate File command to create specs, it does it with a header line like this: File.dirname(__FILE__) + ''/../../../spec_helper'' I use a header line like this require File.expand_path(File.join(File.dirname(__FILE__), *%w [..
