[Fwd: Re: degrees of freedom for t-tests in lme]
...0.0550606 22 -1.18723 0.2478
depD50 -0.28581 0.0557979 22 -5.12220 <.0001
However, my real questions is: How DF = 3209 and 22 are calculated? I
follow
the book by Pinheiro and Bates (2000, p.91),
Q = 1
mo=1 because I have intercept in model
m1=26 groups
m2=3237 observations
p0=1
p1=3, (I have 4 levels of dep's, therefore, it is 4-1. Isn't it?)
p2=??
Then, DF for dep is 26-(1+3)=22. Following this way, p2 = 2 so the DF
for
intercept, x, and sex is 3237-(26+2)=3209. How is p2 determined?
Thanks for the help.

Prevent smbd from consulting winbindd
Colleagues,
I am running smbd in a setup described in
http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/idmapper.html#id2604553
under "Winbind is not used; users and groups are local". Samba is
running in the security=domain mode, but all Windows users are being
mapped to Unix users in /etc/passwd.
Now I need to run winbindd for Squid authentication. The problem is,

Compiling Samba 4.8.3 on Solaris 10 produces "Undefined symbol" for tdbtorture
Hi,
I am trying to compile the latest Samba (4.8.3) on a Solaris 10

surprisingly well, up to this linker error I can't get past:

Is there something that I am missing on the command line ? Does anyone

Thanks for your time.

Save sessions on file system instead of database table?
Hi
Is there a way to save session data on the file system (like in Rails)
instead of a database table?
The reason I''m asking is, that I''m writing a Camping application without
using ActiveRecord (mostly for learning purposes) and I don''t want to
use ActiveRecord just for sessions.
Thanks,
Thomas

[LLVMdev] poolallocation error
Hi,
I am trying to use the poolallocator. More specific, I am trying to
play around with the pointer compression pass. Though, I get assertion
failures for the pass dependencies.
This is when it in PointerCompress::getAnalysisUsage tries to register
the the BU pass as required. I.e. when
AU.addRequired<CompleteBUDataStructures>(); is called.
