TigerJet 320G Chip / TDM400 Chipset / DAHDI Support
Hi, I'm curious what chip Digium is using in the latest TDM400 cards.
Specifically, to my recollection, they used to use the TigerJet 320G,
however somewhat recently, Tigerjet was bought out, and now the 320G is no
longer produced.
Maybe a better question is: is there a way I can take the latest DAHDI
source and get a list of supported chipsets from it?
Thanks.

Using CentOS 7 to attempt recovery of failed disk
I have a disk that is flagging errors, attempting to rescue the data.
I tried dd first - if gets about 117G of 320G disk and stops incrementing
the save image any more.
Now I'm trying ddrescue and it also stops about the same point
Thoughts on how to continue past that point ?
Thanks,
Jerry

I recently received two 320G drives and realized from reading this list it

[LLVMdev] Assuring ARM code quality in LLVM
Hi all,
I was recently investigating the build bot infrastructure and noticed
that the arm-linux target is failing for quite a long time. I believe
that it means ARM code is not executed all that often in LLVM tests,
is that correct?
We were wondering what kind of support we could give to make sure ARM
code is correct and don't regress, specially before releases (I know
it's a bit late

A few general questions
Hi All;
I ran Linux as my main laptop OS for several years, then I got into a
mac shop and bought a macbook.
The macbook is ok but it just doesn't cut it per productivity so I've
ordered another laptop
(a 64bit laptop with 8G of memory expandable to 16G and 2 internal
320G 7200rpm drives)
I'll be loading Linux as soon as the machine arrives from Dell.
Here's my questions:
1) Are there any published plans for CentOS to support KDE4, or is
there a way to upgrade CentOS to KDE4 ?
2) Does anyone know if Kpilot is working with Palm Centro phones ? Is
there...

did you try
dd conv=noerror ?
this flag makes dd not stop on input error. Whatever is irrecoverable is irrecoverable, but this way you will get stuff beyond failure point.

Using CentOS 7 to attempt recovery of failed disk
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I finally got a completion with this
command:
dd conv=noerror,sync iflag=direct bs=4096 if=/dev/sdb of=disk.img
Copying it now to see if it worked.

When AHCI is disabled, drives stop blinking, but drives are then

NT4 IP stack failure under heavy load when using smbfs
...th NT4 again. The image (one or two
files with max 2G each) is now located on the fat32 IDE disk. To access the
fat32 filesystem under NT4 we use the winternals fat32 for nt driver. Up to
this point everything works fine.
The next step is to transfer the images to our Linux server. This server has
320G IDE disks, enough for a lot of backup generations and here i have
22h/day time so store my files on tape without any network load in the
office hours. First i tried to transfer the files with rsync. Rsync is to
slow and the cygwin port to nt is a bit difficult to run reliable. Then i
tried unison....

Small PC to build and run Asterisk
Hi,
I'm looking to build an Asterisk box that can run at a remote
location. Here are most of the specs of what I'm looking for:
Physical hardware
* Small pre-built PC (not buying board, case, all parts separately)
* Low power consumption
* No fan or very small fan
* Hard drive (not flash memory)
Capabilities/capacity
* No GUI, no X
* Register to multiple SIP

Lots of overhead with ZFS - what am I doing wrong?
...Nevada b63) can deliver from a drive, and doing this:
dd if=(raw disk) of=/dev/null gives me around 80MB/s, while dd if=(file on ZFS) of=/dev/null gives me only 35MB/s!?. I am getting basically the same result whether it is single zfs drive, mirror or a stripe (I am testing with two Seagate 7200.10 320G drives hanging off the same interface card).
On the test machine I also have an old disk with UFS on PATA interface (Seagate 7200.7 120G). dd from raw disk gives 58MB/s and dd from file on UFS gives 45MB/s - far less relative slowdown compared to raw disk.
This is just an AthlonXP 2500+ with 32bi...
