Problem converting zoo object (daily data) to a timeSeries object
When I try to convert the zoo object to a timeSeries object, which would
allow me to utilize Rmetrics packages, I get an error message.
> Data<-read.zoo("c:\\DOWUBSPRICING.txt,na.strings="NA",sep="\t",header=T)
> is(Data)
"zoo"
> as.timeSeries.zoo(Data)
Error in .local (.Object, . )
Is this happening because I am using daily data?

aggregate syntax for grouped column means
I am calculating the mean of each column grouped by the variable 'id'.
I do this using aggregate, data.table, and plyr. My aggregate results
do not match the other two, and I am trying to figure out what is
incorrect with my syntax. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Here is the data.

Backup scripts
I have two scripts that a kind soul on this list wrote for me over 4yrs
ago. I got to looking at them the other day because my old box crashed
and had to build a new one also got a new backup USB drive since I'm
still copying over things from the old one. The first one is for a full
backup:

Works great, does exactly what it's supposed to do. The second is for

ggplot2 label problem
I have a problem to plot label (Year) only for significant values (in this
case spoz and sneg).
I use this code, but don't work with labels.
library(ggplot2)
ggplot(data1, aes(x = Year, y = value,fill=type,width=1))+
geom_bar(stat="identity",position="identity")+
scale_y_continuous(breaks = round(seq(-100, 100, by = 10),10))+
theme_bw()
Thank you!

[PATCH 0/9] qspinlock stuff -v15
Hi Waiman,
As promised; here is the paravirt stuff I did during the trip to BOS last week.
All the !paravirt patches are more or less the same as before (the only real
change is the copyright lines in the first patch).
The paravirt stuff is 'simple' and KVM only -- the Xen code was a little more
convoluted and I've no real way to test that but it should be stright fwd to
make work.

[PATCH v15 00/15] qspinlock: a 4-byte queue spinlock with PV support
v14->v15:
- Incorporate PeterZ's v15 qspinlock patch and improve upon the PV
qspinlock code by dynamically allocating the hash table as well
as some other performance optimization.
- Simplified the Xen PV qspinlock code as suggested by David Vrabel
<david.vrabel at citrix.com>.
- Add benchmarking data for 3.19 kernel to compare the performance
of a spinlock heavy test

[PATCH v16 00/14] qspinlock: a 4-byte queue spinlock with PV support
v15->v16:
- Remove the lfsr patch and use linear probing as lfsr is not really
necessary in most cases.
- Move the paravirt PV_CALLEE_SAVE_REGS_THUNK code to an asm header.
- Add a patch to collect PV qspinlock statistics which also
supersedes the PV lock hash debug patch.
- Add PV qspinlock performance numbers.
