TDM400 FXO not responding to inbound rings after 30ish days?
I am having an issue where my TDM400P FXO module stops acknowledging incoming rings after running for about a month. My system is an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ with 256MB RAM, ABIT NF7S motherboard, Slackware (Linux 2.4.26) and Asterisk from CVS Stable (1.0). All outbound dialing continues to work during this condition. Stopping and restarting Asterisk does not resolve this issue. The only resolution is

TDM400 FXO not responding to inbound rings a fter 30ish days?
> Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. If your install doesn't have to be 24/7, cron a reboot at 2 am. Since I did, it's a nonissue for me.

NIS or not?
...ORIALS/NIS.html or http://sysadmin-notepad.blogspot.se/2013/06/nis-server-setup-on-rhelcentos.html. NIS-wise, what is a "small to medium network"? We have currently about 20-30'ish linux clients and servers, and the environment is not likely to increase much beyond this point. Is a 30ish-computer setup, a small network? The only thing I'm trying to accomplish is a system which will allow me to keep user accounts and passwords in one place, with one place only to administrate. NIS seems to be able to do that. Comments and insights are much appreciated! -- BW, Sorin ------...

openssh-5.3p1-123.el6_9.x86_64.rpm for CESA-2017:2563 not available in mirror.centos.org centos6 repo
The patch for CESA-2017:2563 announced at https://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-announce/2017-August/022529.html is only available in the centos 6.9 repo. It is missing for the generic centos-6 repo at http://mirror.centos.org/centos-6/6/os/x86_64/Packages/. Typically this repo contains all the latest patches for the latest minor release, but it's missing the new version of openssh. I

oplock and SCO 5.0.4
...ng or writing files to the SCO server at all. However, when I compile my own binaries with either gcc or SCO's cc, I end up with smbd's exiting for no apparent reason (and not producing a core) when copying a directory of files from the SCO samba box to a W98 client. The directory contains 30ish files totalling 6M. The W98 client happily shows the progress window as it copies the files, until it gives up on the 9th, 13th or 20somethingth file with the "Error Copying File" window which says "Cannot copy <filename>: The specified network resource or device is no longer...

CentOS-4/alpha 4.1beta is there to play
...for me to spot out. I just don't feel that building FC3 for alpha is enought and will be long term maintainable. That's where CentOS-4/alpha should kick in as the basic codebase should be maintained next 7ish years. There are modified SRPMS beoynd the normal CentOS mods, but it's some 30ish of those now, so it's only really few of them all. AVAILABILITY: http://beta.centos.org/centos/4.1beta/isos/alpha/ - which does have ISO-images and .torrent files for CD/DVD-images. - DVD-image does contain full binaries + source - ISOS labeled 'bin' are binaries only - ISOS labele...
