"net idmap dump" and "wbinfo" shows different GIDs for same SID
...problem persists on all of
my servers.
So, my OS is FreeBSD 9.0, my Samba is 3.6.18 acts as a domain member.
Suppose i have a local group "samba_sge_public_createdir", created with
"NET SAM CREATELOCALGROUP".
"getent" and "wbinfo" shows this group with GID 30002 and SID
S-1-5-21-2085021927-1344845373-2015074135-1012.
But, "net idmap dump" shows this group with GID 30008 and shows no group
with GID 30002 at all.

[bug?] idmap.ldb xidNumber attributes overlap with existing users'/groups' uidNumber/gidNumber
Greetings, All!
I've discovered a nasty mismatch in my recently upgraded domain.
It seems that a number of builtin groups have mappings in idmap.ldb that
overlap with posixAccount mappings in the sam.ldb.
Namely,
# file: var/lib/samba/sysvol/ads.example.com/scripts/
# owner: root
# group: 544
user::rwx
user:root:rwx
group::rwx
group:544:rwx
group:30000:r-x
group:30001:rwx

ocfs2's bmap output
...features is that it
can combine many sparse files into a single view. On ext2/3 I was using
bmap to give me the information needed, so for instance, if I created a
big sparse file and tacked on some information at the end on ext2/3 I'd
get something like
blade12:~# ~/a.out abc

userspace, it calls the FIBMAP ioctl) on each block of the file.
