UID and GID mapping throw DC and Member DC
...but the "uid" and "gid" mapping for users its incorrect.
In the DC the "UID" "GID" its around 3000085
In the Member Server its around 2000 - 3000
For example:
ADDC Server.
---------------------
root at ACDC:/# wbinfo --user-info=Prueba
KENNEDY\prueba:*:3000022:100:Prueba:/home/KENNEDY/prueba:/bin/false
MEMBER SERVER
-----------------------
root at MEMBERSERVER/home/prueba# wbinfo --user-info=prueba
prueba:*:2451:2004:Prueba:/home/KENNEDY/prueba:/bin/false
Any way to solve this.

getent not displaying builtin groups or users
...t; Rowland
thanks the dc's now lists all the domain users and groups.
the domain users gid is correct on both dc's
the uid for nfs-mgr which i changed on dc1 to 10005 are different
dc1 shows
TISSISAT\nfs-mgr:*:10005:20513::/home/TISSISAT/nfs-mgr:/bin/false
dc2 shows
TISSISAT\nfs-mgr:*:3000022:20513::/home/TISSISAT/nfs-mgr:/bin/false
i use osync to replicate between the dc's, should the uid be in sync ?

getent does not show domain user/groups
Hello,
I am running Samba 4.2.3 as a ADDC on CentOS 7.
getent passwd/group does not show the domain users and groups.
However, if I try 'getent passwd domainuser' it returns the user.

Continued Group Policy issues
Hello Rowland,
Thanks for your quick response.
We are syncing only sysvol from first Domain Controller, but not
idmap.ldb. Do we need to sync idmap.ldb as well?

Sync samba machine account between diffent samba versions - 4.1 to 4.15
...the server with samba 4.15
- In fact users created in both samba servers appear on both servers.
- With pdbedit --list I can see the following:

SRV02$:4294967295:

...
...
SRV01$:3000020:SRV01$
SRV02$:3000022:
As you can see, the windows 2022 server was added in the srv01, which has
samba 4.1.17 and does not appear in srv02, which has samba 4.15.13.
Based on that, I wonder if this is something to do with these different
versions, before I seek some help with the Zentyal guys.
And I wonder if there is a...

Samba 4 file-server usage
Hi,
I test samba 4 for AD authentification and file-server usage.
My file-server use posix ACL (XFS filesystem) for manage acces between
user.
So I must use some trick ("steve posix-tify script") for adding
posixAccount to activedirectory tree.
But my questions are :
who use samba 4 file-server part ?
How other sys admin permit user to store data on a server (and not on

samba4 + LDAP
Hello all,
we are currently running several samba 3 services to give CIFS access to
shares (mostly homedirs).
Well, access to the shares are controlled by our LDAP service (not AD,
OpenLDAP). Our servers are
using sssd + pam to check wether or not a user is allowed to mount the
share (on some old
servers we also use the pam_ldap module for pam).
Now, we just want to run samba 4 as simply as
