[Release-testers] [3.9 Release] Release Candidate 1 has been tagged
Hi,
On the OpenMandriva side, x86_64 passes all checks. We're having some
problems with other architectures though (see below):
x86_64 succeeded, packages are here:
https://abf.openmandriva.org/build_lists/76792
i586 fails to build, but this seems to be an issue with 3.8.1 (which we're
using to build 3.9):
/usr/bin/clang++ -D_GNU_SOURCE -D__STDC_CONSTANT_MACROS

Illustrating kernel distribution in wheat ears
Dear all
R2.10 WinXP
I have a dataset dealing with the way different wheat cultivars build their yield.
Wheat ears are organised in spikelets where the spikelets can be numbered from the bottom, with even numbers on one side and odd on the other.
I know how many kernels there were in each spikelet after some months spent counting them...
Now I want to illustrate the differences between the

[3.9 Release] Release Candidate 1 has been tagged
Dear testers,
3.9.0-rc1 was just tagged from the 3.9 branch at r277207.
This took a little longer than I'd hoped, but I think the branch is in
a decent state now.
There are still open merge requests and bugs, but I'd like to get the
real testing started to see where we're at.
Please build, test, and upload binaries to the sftp. Let me know how
it goes. I'll upload source, docs,

opt with Polly doesn't find the passes
Hi Tobias,
I tried to invoke other passes and none of them are available, e.g.:
~/toolchain/install/llvm-3.8/bin/opt -load
~/toolchain/install/llvm-3.8/lib/libPolly.so -polly-cleanup
opt: Unknown command line argument '-polly-cleanup'. Try:
'/home/fwinter/toolchain/install/llvm-3.8/bin/opt -help'
opt: Did you mean '-polly-tiling'?
I am just shooting around hoping to

Installing LLVM 3.8 on Ubuntu 14.04
What is the recommended way to install LLVM 3.8 on Ubuntu 14.04? The
generic apt-get thinks 3.4 is the latest version. I found instructions at
http://llvm.org/apt/ but they don't work; deb and deb-src are not
recognised commands, and the suggested apt-get variants are unable to
locate the package.

Installing LLVM 3.8 on Ubuntu 14.04
You want to look at the apt-add-repository command, basically you
provide that command like:
* sudo add-apt-repository 'deb http://llvm.org/apt/trusty/
llvm-toolchain-trusty-3.8 main'
* sudo apt-get update
* sudo apt-get install clang-3.8
Cheers,
-Neil.

llvm-toolchain-3.8 on lower arm targets, specifically Debian armel and Raspbian.
llvm-toolchain-3.8 seems to have problems on debian armel and raspbian.
On raspbian it builds but our armv7 contamination checker blocked it
from entering the repo. Further investigation showed that "compiler-rt"
was being built with -march=armv7 . I was able to remove the -march with
some build-system hacker but then I got a failure on

Removing old makefiles before 3.8 branching
Hi!
If I'm not mistaken old makefiles are not supported in 3.8. If this is
a case, i think till be good idea to remove them before 3.8 branching.

Looks like 3.8 is not ready to download
This is just a heads up that 3.8 does not look ready to download.
There are 3.8 files at the CentOS mirrors, but the files (including the
iso images) are constantly changing or disappearing. It looks like
the hard-working diligent CentOS workers are making some last minute
changes before getting CentOS 3.8 out the door. I presume that
there will be a posting made to this list when 3.8 is

It's not quite time to start the 3.8 release process, but it's time to
start planning.
Please let me know if you want to help with testing and building
release binaries for your favourite platform. (If you were a tester on
the previous release, you're cc'd on this email.)
I propose the following schedule for the 3.8 release:

where is libid3-3.8.so.3
I searched for libid3-3.8.so.3 with yum:
# yum search \*libid3-3.8\*
but it returns "No Matches found"
Am I not searching correctly, or does this not exist in CentOS 5.7?
