Hello guys,
I'm at my wits end.. hope someone can help.. this is the deal.
I have setup a linux box to serve as a "gateway" for our internal lan.
Running 2.0.34 slakware. I have 2 nic cards.. One for our "internal" lan
(192.168.2.0) and the "external" lan..I have gotten the OS to see
both of them, but when trying to get DHCP to work with both, it kept

shorewall VS Linux Firewall
...internet servers that need to
communicate to internal servers/clients
172.16.x.x/24 using port 80. These are
Windows2000 servers (no software firewall
solution)
I have a 2nic shorewall device at present and
,as you know, I can only NAT 80 to one
internal server.
My immiediate solution is to have 2nics in
each 2k server. External NIC
203.xxx.59.106,7,8,9. Have internal NICs in a
private subnet 192.168.1.0/24. And of course
a 3rd NIC in the shorewall.
I''m not sure if this can be done within
shorewall....any one???
I (basically) only want to allow 80 traffic
coming from 172.16.15.x (my se...

samba dlz. bind9 nslookup is wrong
...are resolved through dns.
So, always your primary dnsdomain first. (the one where you samba AD-DC is configured with )
P.s. You forgot the hide the pass in named output ( key signed_comms ) so change that.
But before we can give a good advice.
Is the server directly on the internet ( 1 nic/2nics )
Or
Is the server on the internet and LAN (2 nics)
Or
Is the server on the LAN only but accessable for the internet through proxy.
What is the servers main thing it should do.
Give me above and i'll see if i can give you an good advice here.

Louis

If 'patrikx3.com' is a registered dns domain name, then you should have
used a subdomain of this for the AD dns
