slow bootloader on Dell R320
Hi all !
Thanks for the very good support of Dell R320 hardware, perc H310 is
well supported, BCM5720 seems to work correctly and performances are
great.
The only problem i have found is very strange. The FreeBSD bootloader
take many times to load, 30sec-2minutes to boot the kernel and show the
bootloader menu. After that, the system boots properly, at a normal
speed.
Is there any issue or optimization i can do ?
The OpenBSD bootloader doesn't have this problem.
Thanks you in advance

Sip Trunk takes incomming calls for 2 minutes and then stops
...not set up any credit), and I can take calls
but only if someone phones me within 2 minutes of doing a "sip reload"
otherwise I just get a dead line.
I'm thinking this is something to do with registration or Nat, but
I've set my Nat up to forward everything, and it all works for
2minutes.....

Reason for slow MS-DOS MS client writes
...usly, I had set MAXSENDSIZE to 8192, which did match my Samba server at
the time. I STFW'd every setting on our DOS floppy and finally found that
MAXSENDSIZE had a hard limit of 2048, and if it did not understand a value
(like 8192) it defaulted to 1024!
Want a little math? 8192/1024=8. ~2minutes*8=~15minutes.
Lights flashed, clouds parted, angels sung, and somewhere, a PFY scored with
a Super Model.
We are now transfering at up to 67MB/minute at 10mbit, and with one to four
systems on 100mbit, we are hitting the server with 130MB/minute each! That's
roughly 69mbit (enhanced by co...

tinc MAC address
...fferent tinc vpn clients.
Some of these boxes are 'pets' and request a particular ip address which is
specified in their dhclient.conf.
My trouble is that since the MAC is regenerated every time the daemon is
restarted, I am forced to have a very low max lease time on my DHCP servers
(< 2minutes), as every time I reboot the client the lease is already
allocated to the previous MAC address.
if there a way to control that tinc MAC behaviour ? ie. generate it once
and re-used that same one every time ?
thanks

Broadvoice + incoming call works only for ~2 minutes
Hi, all.
The asterisk setup is working fine, receiving calls via broadvoice "initially". ?
When call comes in via broadvoice number, asterisk picks it up and routes
correctly, as long as the call came in within ~2 min from the previous one.
In other words, as long as a call comes in within ~2 min since the previous one,
asterisk will answer the call. However, if the call comes in
