v2 -> v3 - Don't make a special case for WdfCoInstaller* files. There is a difference of opinion about whether copying these is necessary, but it seems like it is not harmful. Rich.

AFAICS they are the same. Roman.

[PATCH v2 0/2] v2v: Copy *.dll files since they can be part of the driver (RHBZ#1311373).
Since v1: - Fix a bug in the calculation of lc_basename. By luck this doesn't affect anything given the contents of the current ISO. - Don't copy the WdfCoInstaller*.dll files. Rich.

[PATCH 0/3] v2v: windows: Use '*.inf' files to control how Windows drivers are installed.
https://github.com/rwmjones/libguestfs/tree/rewrite-virtio-copy-drivers Instead of trying to split and parse elements from virtio-win paths, use the '*.inf' files supplied with the drivers to control how Windows drivers are installed. The following emails best explain how this works: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2015-October/msg00352.html

[PATCH 0/4] Provide better fake virtio-* test data for virt-v2v.
Patch 1 moves the v2v/fake-virtio-win and v2v/fake-virt-tools directories to the recently created test-data/ hierarchy. This is just refactoring with no functional change at all. Patches 2-4 then extend the available (fake) virtio-win drivers: - Patch 2 adds all of the drivers from the virtio-win RPM. - Patch 3 adds all of the drivers from the virtio-win ISO (which are different from the

Linux fs ACL ignored for Samba4 share in Windows?
...e Samba 3 domain w/LDAP backend. Recently we have set up Samba 4.1.7 fileserver, a member of the domain, as a first step of full migration to Samba 4. Now, we have problem with file ACL on the Samba4 fileserver. Linux ext4 fs has 777 ACLs for the file. Why does it look like in Windows (both XP and 2k8r2) that "Everyone" has not write permission? Sincerely Peter

Authenticating Samba 3.4.2 vs WinServer 2008R2
Hello! I'm having an odd issue between Samba and Win2k8R2. We updated one of our domain controllers to 2k8R2, and as such are working in a 2003-level AD environment. If I force the 'password server' to the 2003 DC, then everything works fine, only working against the 2008 box has issues. I'm on a CentOS 5.3 box, and as part of the troubles...

clustered samba registers all non CTDB addresses at WINS server
Hi all, in the first step to separate my wins/netbios/nmbd and my clustered samba servers i've installed the WINS feature on a windows 2k8r2 server, and set the "wins server = ip.adress.of.windows.server" the weird thing is: my samba 3.5.8 do not only register the public CTDB ip addresses specified by "cluster addresses =", but also the static maintenance ip's + the internal ip address of each node (direct link...

Slow TCP performance from Win2k8R2 guests under Linux KVM
Would anyone be so kind as to test the performance of TCP streams on Windows 2k8R2 guests of KVM virt servers? virtio-win-1.6.3 was published to address a problem described as "low performance" on Win2k8 guests. Actual performance was not recorded in the bug report. On my KVM servers, Windows 2k8R2 guests are able to send data at less than 4Mbps. I test this by u...

Domain member (2k8R2) server, problem mapping Kerberos/NSS users
Hi list, I'm trying to set up a simple fileserver (Samba 4.1.6 on Ubuntu 14.04) as domain member, which delegates user authentication to AD (2k8R2) via Kerberos/NSS ? SSSD without using Winbind. I have SSSD up and running and things like getent passwd some-domain-user getent group some-domain-group chown some-domain-user:some-domain-group /tmp/foobar work just fine and show the expected results. When trying to connect to a share (usin...
