Failing to share folders when listescape is enabled (2.0.14)
...example user001 is sharing two foders named "docs-abc" and "docs-a.b.c" to user002.
The first folder (without dots) is seen by user002 but the second is not found by dovecot because it search a system folder named ".docs-a.b.c" but the system folder is ".docs-a\2eb\2ec"

listescape und sieve
...hould change the escape character to %. But it doesnt. Bug or feature?
But more important:
# sieve
fileinto "a.b";
does not work as expected - the folder is visible as "a.b" in a normal
imap client - because of the listescape plugin.
# sieve
fileinto "a\\2eb";
works. But the user won't understand this.
Any ideas?

deep vs. shallow directory structure
...pting filenames, rsyncrypto assigned each file a filename which is
made of hex digits. It also has the option to put the files in directories,
where the location of the file is determined by the file's name and a
parameter indicating the depth of the directory structure. i.e. if the
filename is 2EB2FE7F11258E27AF21BF60D2F4B06B , and the depth is 3, the file
will be in:
2/2E/2EB/2EB2FE7F11258E27AF21BF60D2F4B06B
for a depth of 1 the file will be in:
2/2EB2FE7F11258E27AF21BF60D2F4B06B
etc...
My question (finally): how to optimize rsync's speed? - how deep should the
directory structure be?...

Not using "." as separator?
When using maildir storage, is there any way to use something
besides "." as the folder separator?
I like to use folder names that match people's e-mail addresses
(that's a default behavior in mutt), and "." is a pretty
popular character in e-mail addresses. Ideally, I'd like to
use "/".
Is "." allowed in mailbox names when using mbox

Inverting a square... (PR#13762)
Refiling this. The actual fix was slightly more complicated. Will soon
be committed to R-Patched (aka 2.9.1 beta).
