windows 7 share and smbclient
Hi,
I've tested that samba (smbclient 3.4) cannot connect to a windows 7 share but
however it is possible to mount such share with smbmount.
When I try to connect specifying username and password I got a success but
nothing happens:
smbclient //s28/backupinfook -U backup
Enter backup's password:
session setup failed: SUCCESS - 0

Problem with Samba on Solaris 2.6
Hi All
I downloaded the binary package of Samba 2.2.2 on Friday from one of the
Samba mirror sites, I think Belgium, and installed it on a Sun E450
running Solaris 2.6.
Today everything has fallen flat on its face. Unfortunately I am on
holiday this week so not able to deal with the problem directly, but via
telephone calls. Apparently what is happening is that smbd is gobbling

Interface Configuration
Hello,
You may recall some of My Dmz question around Thanksgiving.
While I have configured a Proxy arp Dmz. I would like to practice
with the routed setup you suggested Tom as your network was
simular.
Here is one of your quotes "The configuration of eth2 is largely
irrelevant but you certainly don''t
want to confuse things by assigning any default gateway out of that

Multichannel Encoding
I'm a mathematician and programmer working on experimental surround sound
techniques. Some of the ideas I'm working on require dozens of channels.
These channels are often highly correlated and are very well suited to
compression.
I'm new to Vorbis. Does it attempt to address such issues?
Thanks,

Samba quota 'feature' fix?
Hey Guys and Gals,
I'm wondering if the quotas.c file is supposed to fix the problem where a
Linux x86 system running with the quota software causes corrupt files to be
written by Windows clients. I compiled it in and it didn't seem to make a
difference for the following problem.
In other words, if I enable quotas on my RH6.2 / 2.2.16-22 kernel box and
then write a file via Samba/Windows

Preparations for Fermi DRAM clock changes
No, no, these will not implement Fermi reclocking. This set of patches
contains some of the preparatory work that I deem stable enough to
move upstream. Notable changes
- Training pattern upload routines from GK104+ now shared with GT215+
- Timing calculation for Fermi
- GDDR5 MR calculation from VBIOS timing table v1.0. Also useful for that
pesky GT 240.
- A routine to translate a VBIOS init
