Samba as AD-Controller: unable to update policies and call start scripts
...path = /usr/local/samba/var/locks/sysvol
read only = No
What I think you are un-aware of is, the sysvol dir is not synced
between DCs, so your sysvol on your second DC may only contain the
default GPOs, see here for more info:

You haven't got all the sysvol contents, you will need to copy them
from the original DC with rsync, see here:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/SysVol_replication_%28DFS-R%29
Choose your way of doing it, I recommend the osync variant ;-)

Samba as AD-Controller: unable to update policies and call start scripts
Hi list!
I have an Ubuntu 14.04 Server with Samba 4.1.6 acting as Active Directory
controller.
I worked 'till today, now I tried to join a new PC to the domain and it does
not work...
Problems: start and shutdown scripts are NOT called at all, logon scripts are
called on the first PC, but not in the new one.
The new PC did not receive the policies and did not mount the shares.

Doubts about synchronization between DC
Hi,
I have 2 DC (both with Samba 4.6.5) and apparently the secondary DC is
receiving information of the main DC, according to information below:

sysvolcheck on fresh samba 4.7 DCs
Hi,
I joined a new samba-4.7 DC to our AD, replicated everything over, then
turned off the old DCs, seized fsmo roles, and added two extra 4.7 DCs.
Everything above succeeded without warnings, and everything seems to be
running very well finally, except for the sysvolcheck / sysvolreset.
We're on xfs, and the File System Support checks on the samba wiki page
all pass, although at the
