problems with 2880 linux floppy image
Hi,
I'm using syslinux to boot Linux off a network server running tftpd
and dhcpd. The server is running RH 7.3 with syslinux version 2.06 and
pxe-0.1-31.99.7.3 installed from the rpm. I created a 2880 K floppy
image using syslinux and populated it with the Linux kernel images:
vmlinuz, and initrd.img (trimmed of some modules) from RH 9, also,
syslinux.cfg with kickstart information.
The client boots memdisk but fails to boot the 2880 floppy image. In
fact, it also fails to boot the stock RH boo...

At least the ISO will then have MBR, GPT and APM entries for the file
macboot.img.
I did that, and also tried the xorriso command you posted.
I uploaded both ISO images on http://slint.fr/misc/MacBoot resp. renamed:

...t see any attempt to measure in realtime the actual audio rate (makes sense, since this codec can work offline too).
Opus_custom seems to be needed if you have a certain frame size constraint with low latency. I don't have that. I can use the stock frame sizes ( 120, 240, 480, 960, 1920, and 2880 sample/frame).
My conclusion is that I could set up Opus for 48K (stereo), and in reality run it at 44.1K, as long as I use stock frame sizes, and it would be fine.
The only issue I can think of is any of the perceptual stuff will be off by -8%, e.g. crossover/mask frequencies, etc. Or is that t...

PXE booting 2.88MB floppy
Hi,
I'm sorry to bring this up again but I can't quit get this too work. I'm trying
to build a 2.88 floppy image so that I can use PXE to load Ghost.
I'm useing the following to get a copy of the bootsector:
dd if=/dev/fd0 of=bootblock bs=512 count=1
Then I build the image file with:
mformat -C -t 160 -s 18 -h 2 -B bootblock x:
Then use mcopy to put the required

that is what is commonly used elsewhere and because the user may not
pay attention to the differences between matrices and data.frame.)
If the original data would be a matrix 'X', then one can do the

Y <- sapply(seq(from = 0, to = 2880, by = 12), FUN = function(offset) {
rowMaxs(X, cols = offset + 1:12)

which avoids internal temporary copies required when using regular

rowMaxs(X[, offset + 1:12])

Giving a domU direct access to a NIC
Hello,
I am experimenting with Snort and other IDS and I would like to use Xen for
these tests. This would require me to use port mirroring to sent a bunch of
packets to a NIC located on my Xen machine.
I don''t really know how Xen networking works, but is it possible to give a
domU direct access to a NIC ? Or at least give it enough access so that it
can see packets that are not for the

Regarding encoded data
...to use opus codec for quite some time.
There is a thing that doesn't make sense to me. I will try to explain what
it is below,
In *opus_encode() *function, *opus_int16 pcm* is said to have a size
of *frame_size
* channels*, where *frame_size* is said to be one of* 20, 240, 480, 960,
1920, and 2880.*
Let's say, frame_size is 960, then opus_int16 pcm's size in bytes would be
*3840*. Documentation page says the recommended size for *output
payload *should
be around
*4000.*
I check the return values returned by *opus_encode(), *and they are between
250 and 300, which is the length of the...

segfault when applying strange coercion (PR#2923)
I made a mistake -- and R crashed. A (more or less) reproducible example
seems to be:
x <- matrix(nrow=20000, ncol=20)
x$any <- numeric(0)
It is possible to crash R by executing these lines several times (1 -
20) on Windows as well as on Solaris (might be related to PR#2880 -
let's call it "non-existing list elements")

Take the maximum of every 12 columns
Dear all,

of the email) for the first 24 columns but I have 2880 columns in total.
I would like to take max of every 12 columns. I have taken the mean of

# Create index list
