Grandstream HT-286 and NAT
I have 2 Grandstream HT-286 devices and an Asterisk server. The * Server is not using NAT and has port 5060 opened up. One HT-286 is using traditional NAT and the other HT-286 is behind a residential DSL router/firewall. I have the HT-286 setup as the "DMZ Host" in the router/firewall so that all incoming connect...

winbind on Solaris 2.5.1 not working.
Ok folks, Here is the deal. I have posted to the news groups several times and gotten not a single thing. I have been trying since march to get 2.2.8a working on sol2.5.1 with winbind to do the authentication but it has failed miserably. Winbindd starts but fails to create the /tmp/.winbindd/pipe file and bombs like a daisycutter. But if I run winbindd like this " truss -aefo /tmp/file

WinXP slow share access
My WinXP clients are able to map a network drive on my samba server. However, it takes 30 seconds to do so, and accessing the contents of the shared drive is also quite slow. Linux (smbclient) and Windows 2000 clients are able to map the share instantly, and access files without delay. I am using Linux 2.4.5, with samba 2.2.3a compiled from source on the server. The delay is consistent at 30

Mitgrating Nt4 PDC to samba; user mapping
I've to migrate a NT4 PDC to an samba PDC (running samba 3.0.0beta2 on a debian/GNU/linux box). Samba is already setup and working as a BDC. When I try to perform: net rpc vampire -S PDC all existing userSIDs are put into samba's 'passwd.tdb'. The problem is now, how to get a working userSID <-> UID mapping: The existing userSID have RID parts in the range of

MWI on Grand Stream ATA-286
Sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone have any pointers on getting the Message Waiting Indicator working on a GS ATA-286? I have tried both settings on the 286's web page for sending a SUBSCRIBE to the SIP server. I was expecting the LED on the 286 to flash when there are messages waiting. I also have a mailbox=XX line in the sip.conf for the 286's extension. Anyone have this working? Dennis

Problem with Sharp AR-286 PCL Printer
I am having a problem getting the PCL driver for the Sharp AR-286 working. This is an LPD network printer. I created a queue on our Redhat Samba server using the raw driver.
