Problems with HTB and VLAN
...If it send traffic through the VLAN (I have a Linux PC in the othere end), I will only get a performance of about 312Kbit/s. Not 1024Kbit as I would expect. If I use: tc filter add dev eth1.1024 parent 4:0 protocol ip prio 0x1 handle 0x100 u32 match ip src 10.0.0.0/24 classid 4:800 I get only 280Kbit/s through. If I create the setup on eth0 instead on the VLAN it works very well. Does anybody have a clue? I have read that Martin Devera recommends to use iptables on VLANs, but as you see it does not make a difference... Btw.: When I test I connect a PC to eth0 and one to eth1 with VLAN. An...

patch: HTB update for ADSL users
OK, here it is. Near perfect bandwidth calculation for ADSL users. Patch iproute2 with the HTB stuff and then this: It''s still a hack (as far as I can tell) because we are patching the rates tables, and hence I think it is only loosly coupled with the actual calculation of bytes in each bucket. However, it works very nicely for me! I have only been lightly testing with

RC2 worse than RC1 and Beta4
After doing an informal (128k) listening test, I have concluded that I prefer Beta4 over RC2. The 16kHz low-pass on the RC2 encoder makes it sound like FM radio. Both encoders SEEM to have a couple of dB bump at 10kHz.
