read.spss Error reading system-file header
Is there any documentation on what kind of SPSS file can and cannot be read by read.spss? Alternatively, how can one modify or "clean" an SPSS file to make it readable by read.spss? What properties must a *.sav file before read.spss can read it? The file in this example is 270KB, with 5 rows and 173 columns. I have no trouble reading larger files with read.spss, so it's not merely a size problem. I have no difficulty opening the file in SPSS. I also have no trouble getting read.spss to read a dummy SPSS file with 5 rows and 173 columns, where each entry was randomly...

Inputting Co-ordinates
Hello I am trying to input some co-ordinate sets into R of the form x,y by using lists. The command I am using is: p1 <- list(x=c(3445,563,646), y=c(234,567,456)) However the actual co-ordinate sets that I am trying to input have 305 points each and I think that the program will not accept a command that is as long as necessary. Simple traffic shaping
My needs is limiting the outbound traffic of an smtp mail server. It is connected to a gateway via 100Mbit ethernet. I want limits its outbound traffic to max 3 Mbit. I have read lot of docs and tried various script without great results. Any simplest solutions? TIA. Regards, B.
