Bad SWAP performance from zvol
...ve upgraded my system from ufs to zfs (root pool). By default, it creates a zvol for dump and swap. It''s a 4GB Ultra-45 and every late night/morning I run a job which takes around 2GB of memory. With a zvol swap, the system becomes unusable and the Sun Ray client often goes into "26B". So I removed the zvol swap and now I have a standard swap partition. The performance is much better (night and day). The system is usable and I don''t know the job is running. Is this expected? Casper

mod_encoding
I'm trying to setup the Janrain implementation of OpenID in a dev box running CentOS 5.5. The detect.php script is telling me, "Your web server seems to corrupt queries. Received , expected a=%26b. Check for mod_encoding." Does anyone know what package provides this? Thanks -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Iterate in a Spatial Polygon Dataframe in R?
Hi all, ?I'm trying to iterate in a SpatialPolygonDataFrame thatcontains 110 features. I tried to use the following code? iterate.spdf =function(x){ for (i in 1:nrow(x)){ p = x[i, ]} return(p)} but with no success as it returns with aSpatialPolygonDataFrame that contains onlyone feature. The code seems to overwrite the polygons to end up with only onefeature. ?Any suggestions?Ashraf, cheers
