H.264 *Not Patented*
The H.264 codec patent by Qualcomm has been ruled invalid by a San
Diego Federal jury:
http://www.eetimes.com/news/semi/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=197001066 .
That means that H.264 codecs can now be written, distributed and revised
freely under any license their authors choose, including GPL, public

H.264 and Motorola Ojo
Hi all,
I've just acquired a few Motorola OJO units, and am looking at testing them
out with Asterisk.
Having read the Ojo spec it seems they use an 'enhanced' version of h.264,
which I believe is supported to some extent under 1.4 (?). Amongst other
things, it seems that the Ojo allows for custom frame rates and picture
sizes, outside the standard implementation of H.264(?)
Does anyone know whether h.264 will support these units or not? Anyone with
any experience getti...

C6 firefox esr h.264 support on youtube
I was able to get h.264 support on www.youtube.com/html5 on fedora 21 by
installing
gstreamer1-libav
but that package does not exist in C6 (or it's popular third party repos)
What is the name of the package which adds h.264 to firefox on
youtube/html5 in C6?

If I use a call file (/var/spool/asterisk/outgoing)
is it possible to have a video phone connect to a camera (linksys wvc200)
and show the camera stream and hear the audio?
How would I do that?

Google to Open-source VP8 for HTML5 Video
...tating toward standards-based HTML5 video delivery, bolstered in part by the release of the iPad. However, that acceptance has been slowed by the fact that the industry has yet to agree on a single codec for video playback, with some companies throwing support behind Ogg Theora and others hailing H.264 as the future of web video.
Google?s YouTube, Microsoft?s Internet Explorer 9 and Apple ? through its iPad, iPhone and Safari browser ? have all thrown their weight behind H.264, which many believe provides superior picture quality and playback to the Ogg Theora codec. However, a few organizations...

Reading the lists this issue has been seen before

on both build systems the following is installed in the build root, and the
'older' gcc (4.6.2) seems to handle what rpcgen is generating.

What do you suggest for the calling card software?

Webm files written without duration in header
Hi Fred.
Appreciate your response.
Maybe in my explanation I have some red and green apples, but I can
agree that my understanding is as you explained it. ๐
The point is that if I can successfully stream mp4 with H.264 and AAC
encoding without any issues to icecast, I can then use ffmpeg to
turn it into HLS which then solves my iOS support issue. The CPU
cost of repackaging MP4 into HLS architecture should be minimal
because at the core itโs all H.264. No transcoding! Low CPU objective
achieved!

My understanding, which may be incorrect, was that the firefox in EL6 wasn't
built with gstreamer support, so adding that library isn't sufficient.

CDR problem - incorrect time
...one minute call to a local cellphone, this call went out Zap
channel through our channel bank. The CDR recorded a 200 minute call,
but I checked with the Telco's records and it had terminated after one
minute. What can cause this and what can I do to prevent it?
