My problem is that according to the scripts logging, samba only calls it for its own refresh. Hi, I've recently upgrade to Samba 1.9.17p1 from 1.9.16p11 (for Solaris 2.5), but have now found that smbclient fails to connect to user shares on win95 machines. I've tried the same login account from a win95 account and am able to mount shares from other win 95 machines. Here is the situation. I have setup a samba server to authenticate against Active Directory. I have created a group under my Linux server and created all the accounts that need to access the share and placed them in the Linux group on the samba server. I gave the group full rights to the samba share, but when a user from the group adds to the samba share a file or directory he or she now owns

Hello. So, my Samba server, as a WINS client, registers itself with the [Windows] WINS server. Then, when (how often) does it refresh its WINS registration ? I have a problem in that the Windows WINS server is losing its WINS db, then my customers can't find my Samba server. Is there a way to instruct my Samba servers to re-register more often ? Thanks.
