Quadro 4000 with iiyama B2783QSU should be 2560x1440 but detected as 1920x1080.
Hi, Distribution: openSUSE 42.2 Beta, Kernel: 4.4. The box is a Dell Precision T7500 with an nVidia Quadro 4000 card and a displayport connected iiyama B2783QSU 2560x1440 monitor identified as DP-1. 2460x1440 video card recommendation
Can someone recommend a video card that's capable of driving a monitor at 2560x1600 or 2560x1440 and just works with Centos 7 without requiring any outside video drivers? I would prefer to stay with the built-in video drivers that are included with Centos 7 if possible; I don't play games and such, so I'm not looking for high performance 3D -- I just want a high resolution desktop. I...

[PATCH 0/2] drm/nouveau: add support for 2560x1440@56 over HDMI
These patches are adding support for outputting 2560x1440 at 56 over HDMI. This needs a pixel clock of 225 MHz which was not supported before. This was tested in a dual monitor setup with a GF114 (GTX 560 TI) and one HDMI monitor running with 2560x1440 at 56 and one DVI monitor running with 1920x1200 at 60. This still needs testing on other graphics c...

where to report modesetting DDX bug?
...Directly against the server https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver? Here are some particulars: How can I tell whether this should be reported to kernel tracker or to freedesktop tracker as driver or server problem? HDMI output on GT218 10de:0a65 GPU is limited to 1920x1200. When connected to 2560x1440 display, vttys are supported at display's supported 1920x1080 mode, but X with modesetting DDX puts display in unsupported mode (functionally asleep) regardless of various attempts to force 1920x1080 at 60 or 1600x900 at 60, while with nouveau DDX, or 1920x1200 display, or 2560x1440 display wit...

GT 730 freeze : how do diagnose / debug ?
Hi, I own an Asus GT730-SL-2GD3-BRK, trying to drive two monitors at 2560x1440 resolution. Using gnome-shell with either Xorg or wayland I get screen freezes very frequently. Those freezes usually require a reboot to get working graphics (below a sample trace that I got yesterday). I am running Ubuntu 17.04 with the latest kernels avalable, I also tested various more recent...

GT 730 freeze : how do diagnose / debug ?
...ks for the hint, I'll try this workaround too ! Please let me know if I can do anything to improve the drivers's stablility (like dumping the cards's register or enabling some traces ?). Alternatively if you know of a fanless graphic card model that would be able to drive 2 monitors at 2560x1440 with proper linux support, I'm interested ;-) Regards > Cheers, > > -ilia > > > 2017-05-07 16:03 GMT-04:00 Vincent Vanackere <vincent.vanackere at gmail.com>: >> Hi, >> >> I own an Asus GT730-SL-2GD3-BRK, trying to drive two monitors at 2560x144...

Intel Displayport on Centos 7
...brick-like pattern, but when I turn the monitor off and back on again it works perfectly once again. It has gone weeks between episodes of this, and it's done it two or three times a day -- very inconsistent.) If this monitor actually does die, I'm thinking that I'll replace it with a 2560x1440 monitor, but the built-in Intel video controller on my motherboard apparently supports that resolution only on the Displayport connector; the DVI port maxes out at 1920x1200. I guess I can purchase the higher resolution monitor without fear if I need it, and I sincerely appreciate your recommendat...

HDMI pixel clock limits
...as in the table pointed to by the 'T' table, but we have a counterexample to that). Could you suggest a way to find this information either from the VBIOS or based on the GPU? Are there differences between regular HDMI and DP -> HDMI (passive)? This is becoming more and more relevant as 2560x1440/3840x2160 displays are become more common, while (dual-link) DVI-D is on its way out. Thanks, -ilia

[Bug 94817] New: Nearest neighbor scaling?
...at lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: nw9165-3201 at yahoo.com QA Contact: xorg-team at lists.x.org Hello, would it be possible that you add a nearest-neighbor scaling mode to the driver, so that one could display 1920x1080 natively on a 3840x2160 monitor or 1280x720 natively on a 2560x1440 monitor and so on (one pixel becomes four pixels)? There is some information on this topic over there: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/844905/geforce-drivers/integer-scaling-mode/ Regards -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. -------------- next par...
