Strange QoS behavior
Hi, I'm having some weird problem with the setup of the QoS on a bridged network. As the docs states, outbound/inbound average speed should be expressed in KBps (KBytes per second) but in order to get a maximum speed of 10Mbps (megabits per second) surprising enough I have to use 2560 on the guest (not 1280 as expected). Using 1280 units I get a speed og 5Mbps. I'm aware of peak and burst parameters but even with them I'm seeing the same (long-term) behavior. Here follows my configuration. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. Domain definition (rele...

Dear list, as described in http://www.freebsd.org/releases/6.3R/announce.html I tried a binary upgrade to 6.3R. But the command # sh freebsd-update.sh -f freebsd-update.conf -r 6.3-RELEASE upgrade failed with 10....2520....2530....2540....2550....2560....2570....2580....2590....2600....2610....2620....2630....2640... done. Applying patches... done. Fetching 1587 files... failed. Any ideas how to perform the upgrade? Best regards, Thomas.

[Bug 12473] New: [randr12] Xv scales to match virtual resulotion, not actual resolution.
...ontact: xorg-team at lists.x.org 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: nVidia Corporation NV31 [GeForce FX 5600] [10de:0312] (rev a1) Dualhead, using two analog monitors. Resolution is 1280x1024 on both, desktop spanning over both (not clone-mode). If I in my xorg.conf set virtual 2560 2560 then it seems like using vx in mplayer on my first monitor scales according to the virtual size. If I move the window up and down the picture within the window moves more than the window. It seems like if I move the window down one third in regards to 1024 pixels then the picture moves downwar...

Regression: sockets for 3.0.9pre1 ?
Hi. rsync 3.0.8 FreeBSD RELENG_4 i386. rsync -Haxi --delete /.../ /.../ The first pathspec above (residing on zz, a full filesystem) is: /vvvv/wwww/xxxx/zz/ The second pathspec above (residing on yyy, an empty filesystem) is: /vvvv/wwww/xxxx/yyy/zz/ It's obviously a 'copy everything over' operation. I've had to obfuscate the pathnames, however the exact pathlength throughout

Samba 3.0beta 2 and LDAP
...am trying to set up a Samba 3.0 PDC with a OpenLDAP Directory as a backend. Everything seems to work correctly exccept that i don't get the good uid and gid for the user. Here is what i get in my log when i am in debug mode (debug level = 10 in smb.conf). I do not understand why my sambaSID (2560, that is to say 780*2+1000) is translated in uid=10000 (which is the lower born of the idmap uid that i set because the server was complaining). In the same way, my primary gid is not correct (1000, the lower born of idmap gid range). All the others informations (displayname, others groups) return...
