Dell poweredge 860 acceptable forofficeenvironment ?
...t;sealed cabinet", has enough expansion capacity for the oil to expand from heating; Has enough surface area to effectively radiate the heat that is continuously generated, (else the temperature of the oil will continue to rise . . .(sound familiar?)) The components can withstand continuous (24x7x365) immersion in a heated liquid. A solvent, basically. The oil will eventually compromise the integrity of most, if not all of the components. Not the best of ideas, IMHO joe a.

(newbie) Hardware sizing question
Pardon me if this is a faq--I could not find the answer. I am trying to build an asterisk-based solution with approximately 200 users. I have a 2.8 GHz P4 with 512 MB RAM. Any comments re this being sufficient/insufficient? Any pointers to sizing guidelines will be really appreciated. Thanks Javed -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

...GEMINI earth:~# I have been trying to work through this over the last month with no success, we move office next week and I need this system going by then. Any hints however small I am grateful for, Something that might be obvious to a seasoned user might be what is tripping me up. Adrian -- 24x7x365 != 24x7x52 Stupid or bad maths? <erno> hm. I've lost a machine.. literally _lost_. it responds to ping, it works completely, I just can't figure out where in my apartment it is.

/bin/sh eats memory and CPU infinitely
...0%Q`7%!7$!< ;0%Q`7!`7^&_<8ZUZ91_3OE5\`=@<)[J\.P`` ` end Run it and watch how /bin/sh slowly increases its SIZE, RES, WCPU and CPU values. This is an exapmle. My real script grows upto 70Mb in size and eats all of idle Pentium-III 866Mhz cycles, it is machine-generated and runs 24x7x365. It's twice smaller than this test case. Now I have to restart it from time to time. >Fix: Unknown for me. Eugene Grosbein

some questions on dovecot or rather a mail system setup
Hi folks. Perhaps you find some time to look into this,... if you think I should better direct this do some dovecot mailing list,.. just tell :) I'm trying to plan my mail system and would have some questions. The overall idea is about the following: - There is a (internet) server, which is the MTA (which will be postfix) and imap and/or pop3 server (which shall be, guess, dovecot!). -

Cannot rename directory - Samba acting two different ways on identical systems
Ubuntu Samba server running Version 3.4.0 Most windows and OS X clients connect with no issues. Permissions are working correctly on shares and umask settings are working on Window 7, OS X, and XP. The annoying mystery here is that these little bugs are annoying users and taking up precious time... Most recently, Mac1 (OS X 10.6.5 smb Version 3.0.28a-apple) is able to change a directory's
