All, I have just finished uploading the source release for FLAC 1.0.4 beta to Sourceforge; there are no binary releases. It seems to be missing ltmain.sh, which causes libtool not to be built correctly. Running libtoolize --force --copy corrects that problem, but then even stranger things happen: mizar:[...e/work/flac/flac-1.0.4_beta] ./configure && make check checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr...
