VLC only sees a fraction of Speex wrapped in OGG
Friends, My name is Igor, I am new to this forum. I have a peculiar problem with my OGG/Speex implementation: I encode a short PCM stream in OGG/Speex, but the result can not be read by VLC and MediaInfo <http://mediaarea.net/nn/MediaInfo> reports that the file is too short (240ms). In reality the file contains about 2.7 sec worth of audio. Another interesting thing I noticed is that the file *can* be read successfully in Audacity. Yes, that is right, Audacity reads the file perfectly fine whereas all other tools only play a short swoosh. I am going to upload the files her...

IAX Bandwidth Question
Hi, I am using IAX to communicate between 2 sites, each site is using a 256k/64k ADSL Connection. I have noticed that when I connect my ping time to my 1st hop jumps from 30~ms to over 12,000ms in over a period of about 10 minutes, it just keeps climbing until the link is saturated. Naturally, there is a very long delay when speaking. What bandwidth would be adequate for IAX? or how can I

Satellite Providers
Hi All, I am investigating the deployment of VoIP/* in Eastern European areas where there is no PSTN infrastructure. As you can understand DSL/Cable connections are a dream. The only option is satellite. Does anyone know of any satellite providers that have low enough/acceptable delays for VoIP? Thanks, Yiannis.
