domU clock over 23s off
Hey, I have rather new installation of xen, dom0 is running ntpd and is perfectly in time. All domU''s are ~23s in future. Running ntpd on the domU''s seem to have no effect, /proc/sys/xen/independent_wallclock appears to have no effect. I''m running xen-unstable and 2.6.16-rc4 in AMD64 box. Any tip would be appricated. Thanks, -- ++ytti _______________________________________________...

Soft lockup btrfs-transacti:680
When I try to umount btrfs filesystem I get always this error with kernel 3.11.4 and 3.11.3, but I can mount and umount without error on kernel 3.11.2. [LLVMdev] SROA is slow when compiling a large basic block
...ee, computing it conditionally based on whether there is a huge basic block in the function is another idea, but I am not sure if that is possible (I don't think this is currently supported). This brings down the compilation time (using clang -emit-llvm) from 350s to 30s (it still takes about 23s to do GVN). It also might fix PR17855 (the program that used to take 65s to compile now takes just 11s): http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=17855 2. Cache the ordering of loads and stores in LoadAndStorePromoter::run. I don't know how hard it would be to implement this, but I think it wou...

I'm guessing this is a bug :-) donald (please CC me replies, I'm not subscribed to the list)

...roblem seems to be already fixed by Mike's patch. I applied the patch against linux-4.1.8, rebooted several times without a problem. But I'll keep testing for sure. The second problem is a new bug within linux-4.1.9: I experience the > NMI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#3 stuck for 23s! freeze now on all my systems (virtual machines *and* physical systems; Gentoo boxes, Debian boxes, with and without dm (LUKS), with XFS or ext4 -- looks like a general problem). I will post it to LKML itself (I don't have a trace about what's hanging). Thanks for all your time and help!...

Multiple VLAN/subnet recommendations
We're using Samba in several schools. We generally have a single Samba server acting as a domain controller in each school. Until recently, this has worked very well. The number of workstations on our school networks has been steadily growing. Among other things, this has convinced us to split some school's networks into several VLANs/subnets. To add complication, the server running Samba

Issue dialing out
Hello all. I'm having trouble resolving an issue with our Asterisk system that seems to have popped up recently (no one knows for sure when the issue started). I'm still somewhat of a Asterisk newb and have been tasked with administrating the system as the previous administrator has left the company. Within asterisk, we have a Zap interface setup connected to a PRI that we have through a
